August 29th, 2006 Genital Wart Sufferer When I started developing these very large bumps on my vagina I went online and did some research. It seemed that I might have genital warts. I felt awkward talking to my doctor about it but when I couldn’t deny my symptoms anymore I went to see him. I told him that I was just noticing things like itching, burning, tingling, bumps, and swelling around my genital area. I asked him what it was and he said it looked like genital warts. I asked him again if that was what I had, but unfortunately I already knew the answer. He went on to explain they are an infection caused by the herpes simplex virus, and is almost always sexually transmitted. He said that 1 in 5 people have the virus. I thought to myself, “how is this possible?” I consider myself a normal, non promiscuous person, and yet there I was, sitting in my doctor’s office discussing my treatment for genital warts. I said to my doctor, “ok now that I know what I have, how do I get rid of genital warts?” My heart sank when I heard the words come from him mouth, “There is no cure for genital warts” but, there are 3 prescription drugs (called anti-virals) that are available. They can also be taken on a regular basis to help prevent recurrent outbreaks. I got very anxious and felt like running out. This is something that I will have forever? I can’t imagine having to live with these ugly warts forever. I can’t believe this, I am a young woman who just got a swimsuit modeling career going. I haven’t even met my husband yet, will I even have a husband? How can this be final? These were all questions that went through my head as I sat across from my doctor that day. I went home with the three sample prescriptions of antiviral medications for my treatment of genital warts and they were Acyclovir, Famciclovir, and Valacyclovir. It takes 2-12 days for the outbreak to “go to sleep”, that’s what I call it because it doesn’t go away and 3-4 weeks if left untreated. I had a couple of problems with that. I took these medications but they had such sever side effects for me. I had bad headaches and I was in the bathroom all the time with diarrhea. “Not quite a cure” I thought to myself. I immediately went on line and looked for anything else that might help my situation. I mean, this isn’t going away, and I have to figure out how to have a life with genital warts. I bought three items all claiming they help you live with genital warts.
I have to say I feel like I have stumbled upon a natural miracle remedy. So I felt the need to write to someone everyone about this. I can’t believe it is available and my doctor didn’t tell me about it. That is probably because it is a natural wart remover.
